The vaccination drive in India will soon hit its last milestone
Amid the surge in Covid-19 cases in the country, India on Sunday marks 100 days since the start of its vaccination drive which began on January 16 this year. In just 99 days, India has become the first country to administer 14+ crore Covid vaccine doses, according to the Union ministry of health and family welfare.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the country stands at 140,000,000+ as per the 8 pm provisional report on Saturday, April 24th, 2021.

The news, which follows a devastating second wave, seems to add caseloads every passing day and with a mission to control the covid second wave disaster in the country, India will accelerate the vaccination program to include its entire adult population, i.e., all citizens above the age of 18 years from May 1st, 2021.

What about the possible side effects of the Covid-19 vaccine and is it safe?
Our vaccination process is administered by highly trained medical staff, so the vaccination will be provided under safety concerns. There can be few mild effects of vaccine-like fever, myalgia, body ache, and vomiting.
